Summer workshop makes music plans

Plans have been completed for the inauguration next summer of the Chautauqua Choral Workshop of the School of Music of Syracuse, (N.Y.) University under the direction of choral conductor and composer Paul J. Christiansen.

The workship will be in session at Chautauqua from July 6 to August 16.

The Workshop will work closely with Chautauqua's School of Music, headed by Julius Huehn of the Eastman School of Music. Up to six hours of graduate or undergraduate credit will be granted to qualified students upon successful completion of the three courses which will be offered. The courses will be in Music History and literature, Chorus Ensemble, and Music Theory.
