Parliament notes

President Dave W. Nelson opened the first Parliament meeting with the new representatives on April 21 in Library room 301.

Roll was taken and the secretary and treasurer's reports were read. There is a balance of $1,046.91 in the treasury.

Dave Nycklemoe accepted the position of Parliamentarian at the request of Dave Nelson.

Darla Boesch reported that the total cost for six new cheerleading outfits should be around $175. Dave Wee moved we allocate money for cheerleading uniforms not to exceed $200. The motion was seconded and it carried.

Dave Nelson reported that Augustana College wrote and confirmed our request to send a fourth delegate to their convention on May 8-10. Dave suggested that we consider Bill Winter as as possible candidate. Jack Rajala moved that we send Bill Winter as delegate to the Augustana Conference. The motion carried.

Wilson Anderson on behalf of APO read a proposal to Parliament suggesting that Parliament state prior to the carnival who the benefactor or benefactors are as well as to state the organization who is to head the carnival.
